Happy Autumn

Happy Fall everyone.  I had originally planned on posting this on Wednesday, the actual first day of Fall.  However, last week was a little hectic (a story for another post) and I have spent the last couple of days just resting and getting back into my groove.

Fall has always been my favorite time of year.  The air has started to get a little crisper and cooler and the colors man the colors!  I am always reminded of an old "Calvin & Hobbes" comic where Hobbes refers to the changing leaves as nature's fireworks display.

It also means that Thanksgiving is coming up soon with Halloween right behind it.  Sadly, it also means that the stores will very shortly be in full Christmas mode.  While that doesn't really bother me, as I do not tend to go shopping much, but it does mean that winter is on its way.
