An Uninvited Guest

We had an uninvited guest yesterday at our condo building.  To be more accurate, our next door neighbor had an uninvited guest.  One that she would not have been happy to see.

Yesterday morning I had the dog out for his regular morning walk.  As we were coming back home, I noticed something on my neighbor's patio.  At first I thought she had already gotten out an inflatable decoration out for Halloween, then I realized it was a man sleeping.

So I brought the dog back in the house, called our Police non-emergency number and reported him.  Normally this is not what I would do, I have seen people sleeping, under the trees in our yard and in the park at the end of the block, only to let them lie.  The difference is where he was sleeping and what would happen when our neighbor woke up.

We live in a 45 plus building and our neighbor, I would say, is somewhere between 55 and 65.  Every morning she wakes up and the first thing she does is open her patio door.  So imagine the surprise she would have gotten yesterday morning.

I have no intention of telling her what I did.  I did not do for the glory or the kudos, I did it to be a good neighbor.  Then why am I posting it you ask...because it made for a good post.
