Fall seems to be a season of nostalgia for me. It starts in September when school reopens. I still get excited and miss going back, even though I finished my education more years ago that I care to admit.
This year that nostalgic feeling has kinda hung around, which I blame on Facebook and my wife. A week or so ago, somebody posted the opening credits for the Polka Dot Door. Last week, my wife came home from grocery shopping with a box of Count Chocula cereal and 10 boxes of Cream of Wheat cereal (well they were on sale for a really good price, so she just had too). Finally lots of friends on Facebook mentioned going to the Brigden Fair this weekend.
Now don't get me wrong, this sense of nostalgia has been a bit of a blessing. It was nice to wander back through the good times and little pleasures of my childhood. As we wrap up Thanksgiving weekend, it reminded me of some of the things I am thankful for.
