Based on this post's title one might think I was branching out into movie reviews. But no this is not a review of the new Aladdin film. It is a post about the subtle changes I have noticed since we have moved.
While I will not mention names, the first rental company we leased with when we moved to the city was the bottom of the barrel. The only concern they had for tenants was whether or not they paid their rent. The state and repair of their buildings was of very little concern.
Four years ago, we took a step forward, moving into a high rise apartment building. I have nothing negative to say about the management company of that building The neighbourhood, while in transition, however was not the nicest.
Now we live in suburbia and the differences are truly noticeable. Our street is tree lined and quiet, not a lot of traffic, and certainly nobody cursing at each other at 2:00 in the morning. We are starting to get to know our neighbours and every one says hello and how are you.
However, I think it dawned on me what kind of neighbourhood we live in last Sunday; we had gone to the farm to re-stock our freezer. Upon returning home, we found an Amazon box, sitting outside our front door. In any of our previous apartment buildings that box would have been long gone shortly after the mailman put it down.
I am glad you like your new digs
