Now that the weather is finally starting to warm up, it is time to start thinking about picnics, bbqs, and corn on the cob. I think that my favorite way to prepare corn on the cob comes from my father. He was displaying at a farm show where they put all the corn on a large tarp, covered it with another tarp, then blasted it with the steam from one of the old steam threshers.
However, unless you are planning on quickly preparing corn for around 200 people, that may be a little extreme for most of us. Instead, fill the pot with water and add a stick of salted water and a cup of milk. Place the ears of corn in the pot and turn heat to low simmer for 10 - 15 minutes.
