Last night, I went to bed a little after 10:00. I had not been in bed long when I opened my eyes and saw someone walk past our closet door. I figured my wife had gotten up for something, only to realize that she was still in bed beside me.
When I looked back up nobody was there. I did not really think much of it and went to sleep. This morning, I mentioned what I had seen to my wife who did not seem to surprised or concerned about it.
I have always been curious about the old, and supposedly haunted, hospital at the end of our block. It was okay to be curious so long as I didn't bring anything home with me. So I was surprised that she seemed totally unmoved by me telling her I saw a shadow walk across the closet.
She told me that the former owner's mother had lived here with her daughter during the end of her life. While she had not passed away in the house, it was her last home. It appears that my wife's thoughts on the matter are it is one thing to bring spirits home but another if they were here first.
