The M*A*S*H cookbook strikes again
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup white wine
- juice of 1 lemon
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 2 pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined leaving tails intact
Directions:
- In a large shallow dish combine all of the above ingredients except the shrimp and mix well.
- Add the shrimp and toss gently to coat.
- Cover and refrigerate for 2 - 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Preheat broiler to medium.
- Drain the shrimp and discard the marinade.
- Broil for 3 - 4 minutes on each side or just until the shrimp turn opaque.
- Transfer to a platter and serve immediately.
