I Can See Clearly Now

"I can see clearly...I can see all obstacles in my way."
Johnny Nash
I can see clearly now (1972).

I realize that Mr. Nash was not likely singing about wearing glasses, but I am.  After wearing reading glasses for more years than I can remember, I was fitted on Saturday morning with my first pair of permenant (progressive lenses) glasses.

The difference is amazing, I can see clearly now.  Well kinda, I am still adjusting to the three different levels of the lenses.  The hardest part is remembering I now have to look with my whole head and not just my eyes.

For example, if I look down by lowering my eyes, instead of tilting my head, things get blurry.  I think the advice the optometrist gave me when he was fitting them is something I have to keep in mind.  "Aim your nose where you want to look and you will see fine.
