We have reached that time of year that it is still dark when the dog and I go for our morning stroll. This morning, they sky was clearer than it has been all week. So I was able to see a few stairs above us as we walked.
It is the one thing that I missed by not going camping this summer. The beauty of a star-filled sky unfettered by light pollution. Along with the evening campfire, it was the one thing I looked forward to most.
Sitting in the peace and quiet with my wife. A warm fire and, perhaps, a cool breeze rustling the leaves. And the stars, at night, so big and bright.
