Let The Chaos Begin

As I first announced in my post Cleaning Upgrade, my wife and I are moving to a two bedroom suite at the end of the month.  We have known about it for two weeks, but we haven't really done much other than talk about packing and setting up the new apartment.  Well, at least that was all we did until yesterday.

Yesterday, we received our moving timeline from the office.  We now have a move in day (when we get the keys) and a check out day (when we hand in our old ones). Our check in date is in two weeks.

So last night, things started getting a little hectic around here.  Our living room is now filled with boxes, some full and some empty.  We now have a deadline.

There is a lot of stuff that won't get packed at all for a couple of reasons.  We are once again downsizing to move to a larger space.  Secondly, clothes, dishes, and the like will get taken from their closets, cupboards and drawers and get put right into the corresponding closet, cupboard, or drawer upstairs.

I think moving this way will speed up the process, not a lot of unpacking to do after the fact.  With the help of a couple of handcarts there will be a lot more moved by us then the movers this time round.  We will leave them the big and heavy stuff and well will cart the rest.
