Winter Wonderland - Part Two

Last weekend we had our first snowfall.  It only lasted a couple of days before it melted. But we had it.

This morning my wife and I braved the elements, there was a kind of snow/rain mix going on.  However, visibility was good and the roads were dry and clear.  We figured we had better get out there and get our errands done quickly.

First two stops we got done without any problems.  So I am sad to say we got a little cocky.  We made one more stop for a late breakfast and some shopping at the mall.

Mistake!

By the time we got back out to the car (in less than an hour), the snow/rain mix had turned to snow (big, fat flakes) and it was sticking to the road.  We slowly and carefully made our way home, my wife was a little anxious as it was our first real winter driving of the year.

Now that we are safely back home, we an enjoying winter the way it was meant to be.  Through a window with a hot cup of coffee in hand.
