It Depends On Your Definition

A homophone is a word that sounds the same as another word but has a different meaning. Now for the purpose of this post, that different meaning is based on gender.  A good old fashioned game of He said/She said.

Fine:
  • Male: It's all good.
  • Female:  No, it is not.

I'm bored:
  • Male: Wanna have sex?
  • Female: Entertain me.

I'm hungry:
  • Male: I'm hungry.
  • Female: Would you get me something to eat.

I'm tired:
  • Male: I'm tired.
  • Female: Leave me alone.

I am sorry
  • Male: I'm sorry.
  • Female: You will be sorry.

I love you:
  • Male: I love you, let's have sex.
  • Female: I love you.

Maybe:
  • Male: Maybe.
  • Female: No.

No:
  • Male: No.
  • Female: No.

Sure, go ahead:
  • Male: Sure, go ahead.
  • Female: Don't you dare!

Yes:
  • Male: Yes.
  • Female: Maybe.

You're very attentive tonight
  • Male: ?  (When has a male ever uttered such words?)
  • Female: Is sex all you think about?

So you see ladies, it is not that we are not listening, sometimes things just get lost in translation.
