That 70's Cooking - Christmas Morning

I can remember standing at the edge of the living room carpet with my brother  We were not allowed in the living room until everyone was up.  So we stood there peering into the darkness trying to get a glimpse of what was under the tree for us.

I remember finding Star Wars, Six Million Dollar Man, and Micronauts under the tree.  One year we both received small toy drum kits, a gift I am sure my parents, later, regretted.  Being brothers, we also received a lot of identical gifts, usually from each other.

In the 70's, the top gifts for boys like us were...
  • Nerf Hoop (I had one)
  • GI Joe (I had one)
  • Miniature Air Hockey
  • Miniature Pool Table
  • Motocross Bike
  • Evel Knievel Action figure
  • Slinky (I had several, they kept getting knotted up)
  • Skateboard (I had one)
  • Life, The Board Game (I preferred games with the Pop-o-matic Bubble)
  • Superhero Action Figures (I had my fair share of them)

This year, 2014, the top gifts boys like we were are...
  • Zoomer Dino - Boomer
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret Sewer Lair Playset
  • Transformers Age of Extinction Stomp and Chomp Grimlock Figure
  • NERF® N-Strike Elite Centurion Blaster Toy
