Most of my adult life I have lived in apartment rentals which meant a shared laundry room. I would do one load two or three days in a row. I would go as soon as the laundry room opened get in and get out as quickly as possible.
Now that we own our home and have our own washer and dryer I find I have a laundry day and will run three or four loads through. However, now that I do not have to rush to get everything out so somebody else can get their wash done that the last load of the day tends to sit in the dryer. There it will remain until next laundry day and I have a wet load ready or until something in there is needed.
