Grand Adventures

This past weekend my wife and I had a number of grand adventures.  While I will always miss our dog, being able to head out on the spur of the moment is very enjoyable.  This weekend was proof of that.

On Thursday, nobody wanted to cook so we decided to go for a drive and pick up dinner while we were out.  We did one of our regular "circle tours" as my wife calls them stopping for some Carl's Jr. along the way.  It was a relaxing way to end the day.

On Friday, my wife worked half a day and was home at noon.  After we took a load of stuff over to the Salvation Army, her desire for the rest of the day was to "get out of dodge", so we did.  We head south to Camrose so that she could pick up some fabric she wanted from Quilting from the Heart.

On Saturday, we drove back to Smoky Lake for the open farm days farmer's market.  It is a small market and did not take us long to go through it so we stopped at Serben Farms to top up our freezer.  Our next stop was Kicks Bar and Grill for an excellent steak and eggs lunch.  As a bonus we got to watch the Red Water discovery days parade while we ate.

Yesterday, Sunday, was not as exciting an adventure as the rest if the weekend.  We went to the Co-op to pick up some groceries that we needed to get us through the next couple of days.  But when you are a house hubby an outing is an outing.
