The condo owner above us passed away a few months ago. Her children are preparing the suite for re-sale, which means renovations. Monday and yesterday they laid new floors above us.
Our dog does not like loud noises, neither do I truth be told, and at one point I found him standing in our master bath. So what else was there to do except...road trip! But where should we go?
As a "gift" my wife got me a subscription to Ancestry.ca. I think she got it for me to keep me out of her hair while she was working from home. Although, it does not matter, I have wanted one for a while.
Early on in my research I learned that my uncle, or husband of aunt as Ancestry defines him, was born a few hours away from the city. So the dog and I dropped my wife off at work a little early and hit the road. I wasn't able to see the house where he lived because it is apparently tricky to get to.
If you do not follow someone who know the way, you will never find it. I mentioned that to the girl at the grocery store , who did not seem surprised. It looks like that is just the way it is out there.
