My Kingdom For A Timbit

Last night the wife and I decided to take the dog for a ride after supper.  It had been raining all day and we both were looking for an excuse to get out of the house for a while.  We agreed to stop at Tim Hortons for a couple of coffees and a 20 pack of Timbits.

So we started off and passed 3 Timmies along the way.  I pointed them out and my wife had a reason not to go to that particular restaurant such as it was at the back of the parking lot and once you got in there it was too hard to get out.  So we pressed on.

At the 4th one we stopped.  The line up at the drive-thru was long, but the dining rooms are once again open for take out.  So I went in and waited, and waited, and waited before I decided I had waited long enough (which is when the staff decided to wait on me by the way).

I came back out and got in the car and told my wife that I had waited long enough and that they didn't have enough donuts left for a half dozen and if I had gotten a 20 pack of Timbits (2 or 3 flavours) they would not have enough left to make up a 10 pack for the next person.

At Tim Horton's number 5, I did not even have to get out of the car.  One could see through the window that there was not a thing left in the display case.  I did make it out of the car at number 6, only to find the door locked and another empty display case.

Finally at the 7th Tim Hortons we tried last night we were finally able to get our coffees and our Timbits (4 flavours I think, but by then I wasn't being fussy).  The attendant behind the counter was amazed that they were the 4th store that we had tried.  I too was amazed, that these restaurants do not have enough product to make it past 7:00 PM.
