First Furnishings

Tomorrow, my wife and I have to go visit the lawyer to finish up the paperwork.  On Friday, we take possession and actually get the keys.  Yesterday, we went and bought our first piece of furniture for our new house.

It isn't anything fancy.  It is not like we went and bought a new living room set.  We bought a bench for our front foyer.

I am starting to get up there in age and have to sit down to put on my shoes.  I think my wife is getting a little tired of me having to sit on the bed to put my shoes on then walking through the house.  Now that we have a foyer big enough to put something in, I think she is happier.

She wanted to get a hall tree with coat hooks and a shelf.  However, while I am getting up there in age, I am also getting up there in size.  We couldn't find one we liked, or could afford, that would hold me long term.
