Return Of Old Man Winter

Saturday was a beautiful spring day.  The sun was shining and the sky a brilliant blue. It was even warm enough in the car, to leave our jackets in the back seat, as we drove.

My wife, the dog, and I went for a pleasant drive.  We went and had a visit with her Dad. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

Yesterday afternoon and evening marked the return of old man winter.  It was snowing so hard at times that you could barely see across the river.  I think he just wanted to remind us that it is still early March in the prairies.

Although I guess his return will be short-lived.  Yesterday's snow has already started to melt.  And the forecast is calling for sunny skies and temperatures above freezing all week.
