Black-Bottom Banana Cream Pie

Making a traditional cream pie with instant pudding

Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter , divided
  • 14 Golden Oreo Cookie s, finely crushed (about 1 cup)
  • 4 oz. (1/2 of 225-g pkg.) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
  • 2 large banana s, sliced
  • 1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • 1-1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping

Directions:
  • Melt 2 Tablespoons butter
  • Mix with cookie crumbs, reserve 2 Tablespoons crumb mixture
  • Press remaining onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate.
  • Microwave chocolate and remaining butter in microwaveable bowl on medium for 1 minute or until butter is melted. 
  • Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended
  • Spread onto bottom of crust. 
  • Top with bananas.
  • Whisk pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes.
  • Pour over bananas. 
  • Refrigerate 4 hours. 
  • Top with Cool Whip and reserved crumb mixture just before serving.
