Farmer's Market

My wife and I spent the holiday weekend visiting family in B.C. We arrived, in the rain, on Thursday night.  We puttered around the house, I got a lesson in cooking turkey stock, on Friday, while it continued to rain. Saturday morning, the clouds parted and we ventured forth to the Saturday Market.

It was all a farmer's market should be.  A slight nip in the air. Everything being sold was farm raised, fresh baked, or handmade. There was nobody trying to sell me VHS movies, nor anything that looked like it was picked up at last week's garage sale or flea market.

My wife bought a stained glass bee to hang in her craft room window.  I discovered the Bread Peddler's bakery stand and bought myself 2 Chocolate Chip & Ginger scones.  I actually went back to pick up a third but they had sold out.

The Bread Peddler is one of a few places that I collected website or contact information from to post on the Links page.  Sadly, all those cards are packed away in our luggage.  But then when I dig them out, it is fodder for another post down the road.
