Random Thoughts...

It is the long weekend.  The unofficial start to summer.  A time to put away the mop and broom and get out the BBQ tongs and apron. For me, four days to enjoy with my wife.  She, however, seems to feel that cleaning is a requirement for any day off.  So to get everybody into a relaxed state, here are a few random housekeeping thoughts.  I hope they put a smile on your face.  Enjoy the holiday!

  • "My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance." - Erma Bombeck
  • "There was no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse." - Quentin Crisp
  • "You don't get anything clean without getting something else dirty." - Cecil Baxter
  • "My idea of superwoman is someone who scrubs her own floors." - Bette Midler
  • "There is no daily chore so trivial that it cannot be made important by skipping it two days running." - Robert Brault
  • "I always clean before the cleaning lady comes. If not, when I come home, I can't find anything. Cleaning ladies are always hiding things you leave out." - Celia Cruz
  • "I have sporadic OCD cleaning moments around the house. But then I get lazy and I'm cured. It's a very inconsistent personality trait." - Chris Hemsworth
  • "Dust is a protective coating for fine furniture." - Mario Buatta
  • "Housework can't kill you, but why take a chance?" - Phyllis Diller
  • "One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries." - A.A. Milne
